About Wellness Resources of Vermont

"No matter what the strength of a system, if the practitioner is only comfortable addressing the physical or the psychological or the behavioral or the existential, the healing transformation is likely to be limited to that single dimension."

Mark Hunziker presentingWellness Resources of Vermont works with businesses, non-profits, and government agencies to improve how effectively their people operate as individuals and in teams. Businesses usually call us in when there is a crisis in communication, collaboration, decision-making, leadership style, team productivity, or workplace conflict. But since we target these problems at a root cause level, the impact of our work reaches far beyond resolving the crisis at hand.

When we expand people's core personal skills and attitudes, it starts a dramatic ripple effect that can impact a broad range of areas such as enhancing productivity; reducing errors and defects; improving relations with customers, suppliers, partners, and coworkers; reducing sick days, injuries, and Workman's Compensation claims; and improving agility and adaptability. While solving an organization's immediate problem is our first priority, our underlying agenda is to plant seeds of personal growth and team development that will boost the organization's bottom line as well as helping people lead more fulfilled lives.

Wellness Resources of Vermont offers custom tailored experiential team training sessions and one-on-one counseling to address specific issues and promote the longer-term agendas of leadership development, team building, and personal balance and growth. We emphasize using the Integrated Problem-Solving™ program for working with teams and MBTI® personality assessment, feedback, and coaching for individuals.

What's in a name? We call ourselves "Wellness Resources" because our fundamental operating premise is that the greatest potential for improving any organization's success lies in enhancing the mental, physical, and spiritual wellness of its people. Although there are no geographical limitations to where we work, we acknowledge our Vermont roots out of respect for the creative hotbed in which our insights and business focus have evolved. We take the "network" in "vtwellness.net" seriously, as well. We seek out expertise of all kinds to supplement our own. We frequently team with other professionals to deliver the highest possible level of services to fulfill the unique needs and situation of each client.

What is the ideal kind of organization for us to work with? Organizations that truly understand the importance of promoting the personal development of their people—where "our people are our greatest resource" is not just a marketing tag line, but something that leaders truly believe—in other words, businesses that realize that growing people is the key to growing organizations.

Our clients have included many Vermont businesses; as well as national and international organizations such as Gardener's Supply Company, Network Performance, and the US Office of Homeland Security. We have also presented before professional associations such as the Association for Psychological Type International, Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, the Vermont Council for Quality, and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
